The Agenda (est. Oct 2024) is a private, sex-positive collective based in Ottawa for kind, respectful, and "naughty" adults (18+). We are an inclusive, judgment-free community that celebrates diversity across all races, genders, and identities.

Core Principles

Core Principles

  • Safety & Privacy: Entry is by invitation or member voucher only. Participation implies strict adherence to our community rules.
  • Inclusivity: We welcome all consenting adults (primarily ages 30s–50s). We have zero tolerance for discrimination; if you cannot coexist respectfully with diverse groups, this is not the space for you.
  • Mission: To provide a vibrant space for making friends, embracing unique identities, and exploring sexual play.

If you are under 18 or received this in error, please exit immediately.

Roles and Bracelet Colours

To help keep our community safe and to make communication easier, we use different bracelet colors to identify key roles and intentions.

A large board explaining the wristbands will be on display at each private event. Please remember to return the wristbands at the end of the night!

Privacy and Non-disclosure

1. Non-Disclosure

  • What happens within the group stays within the group. All events, personal stories, and member details are strictly confidential. Sharing sensitive information externally is prohibited unless it involves reporting concerns to leadership or is legally required.

2. Data & Media Privacy

  • Information: Personal data (names/emails) is used only for group administration and will never be sold or shared.
  • Photography/Video: Taking photos, videos, or screenshots of members without explicit permission is strictly forbidden. The community will never post event photos without the consent of everyone involved.

Consequences

  • Privacy violations are taken seriously. Breaking these rules will result in removal from the group and potential further action. Participation in the community constitutes agreement to these terms.
Consent

Consent in this community is understood to be a dynamic and multi-faceted agreement between all involved individuals. It is:

  • Informed: All participants should have a clear understanding of what they are consenting to.
  • Enthusiastic: Consent should be freely and eagerly given, not coerced or hesitant.
  • Ongoing: Consent can be withdrawn at any time, by any participant, regardless of prior agreement.
  • Freely Reversible: Saying "yes" at one moment does not mean "yes" forever. Any participant has the right to change their mind and stop an activity.

You are under no obligation to engage with anyone, and neither is anyone else obligated to engage with you.

Always seek explicit verbal consent before initiating any interaction. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Any form of physical touch
  • Joining an existing scene* (ie play activity engaged in by two or more people)
  • Altering the agreed-upon activities within a scene changing partners within a group activity
  • Initiating a new scene* with someone you've played with previously
  • Engaging in solo sexual activity in a shared space (e.g., masturbating while observing a scene you are not part of).

Unless you have received a clear and direct invitation to participate, assume that you do not have consent, respect their decision immediately and do not ask again or persist in any way.

Consent & Boundaries

  • Revoking Consent: You have the right to stop at any time. Use clear, audible phrases like "no," "stop," or "I’m not comfortable." Respecting a "no" is non-negotiable.
  • Self-Advocacy: Your voice is your best tool. Clearly state your needs, limitations, or injuries. You never owe anyone an explanation for saying "no" or trusting your gut to leave a situation.

Sexual Health & Safety

  • Testing: We strongly encourage regular STI testing (every 3–6 months). Do not engage in play if you have an active or suspected infection.
  • Barriers: Safe play is expected. Barrier-free play requires explicit, mutual agreement. Non-consensual condom removal (stealthing) is sexual assault and will result in a permanent ban and potential criminal charges.

Support & Responsibility

  • Help: If a boundary is crossed, it is not your fault. Reach out to staff (Orange/White bracelets) or contact leadership via Discord, FetLife, or the incident form.
  • Zero Tolerance: The responsibility for maintaining boundaries lies solely with the person initiating the action.

Safety & Reporting

Immediate Help: If you feel unsafe or violated during an event, alert staff wearing white (green glow) or orange glow bracelets immediately. Orange personnel are authorized to remove individuals if necessary.

Reporting Incidents: To maintain community safety, please report any concerns—including past assaults or incidents involving members (at our events or elsewhere)—via the following channels:

  • Anonymously: Use our Incident Report Form to submit information discreetly.
  • Directly: DM the Host with any relevant details.

All reports are handled with discretion and used to monitor or assess an individual's suitability for our community.

Substance Policy

Alcohol: While you are welcome to bring your own beverages (BYOB), please consume them responsibly and keep it classy. Excessive intoxication will not be tolerated.

Last call: is at 12 AM, and no new drinks should be opened after this time to ensure everyone gets home safely. If we suspect you are unfit to drive and did not arrive with a designated driver, you will be put in a cab home, at your expense.

Being under the influence of alcohol is not an excuse for violating the consent policy. Consent cannot be freely given by someone significantly impaired.

Marijuana and Tobacco: Do not smoke anything in the unit or on the balcony as this may cause us to lose the deposit. In a hotel, you may borrow a keycard and partake outside, respecting the minimum distance from doorways. In other venues, there will be designated smoking areas outside.

Illegal Substances: The use of any illegal substances is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated at any of The Agenda’s events.

Impact on Consent: Attendees are responsible for ensuring they and their partners are capable of giving free and informed consent. Intoxication can impair this ability.

Host Intervention: The Leadership Team and host reserve the right to intervene if an attendee is visibly intoxicated or suspected of using illegal substances. In which case, if the attendee came to the event solo, the organizers will call for a taxi and send the attendee home, at the attendee’s own expense; if the attendee arrived with a designated driver, they will be asked to return the attendee home, after which they may return to the party.

Open Communication: If you feel uncomfortable due to another attendee's level of intoxication, please inform anyone donning a white or yellow bracelet.

Safe Departure: All attendees are responsible for ensuring their own safe transportation home from the event.

Respect the Venue

To ensure the continued ability to host these events and maintain positive relationships with our venues, we ask all attendees to be mindful and respectful of the premises. This includes:

Noise Levels: Please be mindful of your surroundings and keep noise to a minimum, especially in hotel settings and after 10:00 PM, to avoid noise complaints.

Cleanliness: Help us maintain a clean environment. Dispose of condoms and other waste in the provided trash cans. Please assist with tidying up after yourself.

Furniture Care: If you are nude, please use a towel when sitting on furniture to protect it.

Provided Items: Treat any items provided by the host or venue with care.

No Damage: Do not intentionally cause any damage to the property. Attendees may be held responsible for any damages they incur.

Adherence to Venue Rules: Please abide by any specific rules or guidelines set forth by the hotel or venue staff.

Designated Areas: Please remain within designated party areas. Do not wander into private or off-limits sections of the venue.

Spills and Accidents: If you have a spill or any other accident, please inform event staff immediately so it can be addressed promptly.

Potluck Etiquette

Our potlucks are a fun and delicious part of our community. Please follow these simple rules to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience:

Hygiene First: Use the hand sanitizer provided. Use provided serving utensils and wash your hands thoroughly before handling food.

Cover Up: Genitals must be covered by clothing or a towel when in the kitchen or around any food areas.

Allergies & Labels: Label your dish with a list of its ingredients to help members with allergies.

Known Allergies: Please be aware that the community has known sensitivities to kiwi, pineapple, and melon. Make sure if your dish contains any of these ingredients it is labeled.

DO NOT BRING: For the safety of our members with severe allergies, do not bring dishes containing fish or shellfish.

Respect for Others and the Community

Community Conduct & Venue Rules

General Etiquette

  • Respect & Maturity: "Have fun but don’t be a dick." Treat all attendees with courtesy. We are strictly inclusive; if you cannot be mature regarding different genders, orientations, or pronouns, this is not the space for you.
  • Personal Space: Respect boundaries in both physical space and conversation topics (e.g., politics or trauma).
  • Hygiene: Practice good hygiene and avoid heavy fragrances due to staff and guest allergies.
  • Reporting: Alert the host or staff (White/Yellow bracelets) if something feels "off," or use the anonymous form.

Play Space Protocol

  • Consent & Sharing: Always ask before joining a bed or play area. Be mindful of space; do not monopolize large areas for extended periods.
  • Cleanliness: Dispose of waste in trash cans. Use towels or puppy pads for "messy" play. Replace damp sheets (put used ones in the hamper, never with fresh linens).
  • Equipment: Use condoms on all provided toys and clean them thoroughly after use.

Phone & Camera Policy

  • Strict Privacy: Phones must be kept out of sight. No photos, videos, or recording. Photography is only permitted at a designated photobooth with the explicit consent of all subjects.
  • Calls: Urgent calls must be taken briefly in the bathroom or hallway.
  • Violations: Unauthorized recording is a serious offense and may result in removal, permanent banishment, or legal action.
Assumption of Risk

By attending our events, you are agreeing to take on certain risks. Your safety and well-being are important to us, but you are ultimately responsible for your own actions and decisions.

Your Interactions: You are responsible for your own behavior and for how you interact with others. We can't control what other people do, so please be respectful and aware of your surroundings. We are not responsible for any issues that come up between guests.

Accidents & Injuries: We do our best to create a safe environment, but accidents can happen. You take full responsibility for any injuries or damages you might experience, whether from a slip, a fall, or any other physical incident.

Items We Provide: Any items we provide, like condoms or lube, are a courtesy. We don't guarantee their quality or effectiveness and aren't responsible for any issues that might arise from their use.

Personal Items: You are responsible for keeping track of your own belongings. We are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Health: By attending, you accept the risk of catching an illness, like a cold, or the flu from being in a social setting with others. By engaging in sexual activities with others, you accept all potential risks associated with these activities including STIs and unintended pregnancy. You are responsible for your own sexual health and for engaging in safe play.

Emotional Well-being: We encourage you to manage your own emotional well-being throughout the event. We are not responsible for any emotional distress you may experience.

Food & Drinks: Our events often feature a potluck. You are responsible for knowing your own allergies and for asking about ingredients. We can't guarantee what's in every dish and are not responsible for any allergic reactions or issues from what you eat or drink.

Travel: You are responsible for your own safe travel to and from the event. We are not liable for any issues that occur during your commute.

Event Changes: We are not liable for any event cancellations or changes that are outside of our control, such as natural disasters, public health emergencies, or venue issues.

By attending an event, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Conclusion

In our community, high standards of behavior aren't just a suggestion; they are our foundation. We believe that by holding ourselves and each other accountable to these standards, we create an environment where everyone can feel safe, respected, and truly free to be themselves.

This is more than just a set of rules—it’s a collective agreement to show up as our best selves. It’s about practicing enthusiastic and ongoing consent, respecting every person’s privacy, and communicating openly and honestly. When we all commit to this, it creates the kind of atmosphere where amazing connections—both friendly and intimate—can flourish.

Thank you for your commitment to upholding these values. Your willingness to follow The Playbook and contribute to this culture of respect is what makes The Agenda the exceptional and vibrant community it is. Now that you know the standards, we’re excited for you to join us and help make this community even better.
